Dress Code

Members are responsible for informing their guests of the dress code and for ensuring compliance with the following rules.  These rules have been approved by your Board of Directors, and update and supersede the dress code requirements under House Rule 23.  Members and their guests will be denied service for failure to comply with this dress code.

GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE:

Men:  Collared shirts or sport shirts designed for golf with a mock collar are allowed.  All shirts must be tucked in at all times and caps must be worn forward (removed inside the clubhouse).  Golf shorts not shorter than 4” above the middle of the knee and below the bottom of the knee are not permitted.  Baggy cargo shorts with protruding outside pockets (not flat stitched to the material) are not permitted.

Ladies:  Golf skirts, divided skirts (skorts), tailored slacks or Bermuda shorts (no shorter than 6” above the middle of the knee) are allowed.  Women’s shirts must have either sleeves or collars or both.

La Cumbre Country Club adheres to a non-metal spike policy. Please ensure that you and your guests’ golf shoes conform. The golf shop reserves the right to approve all non- metal spiked golf shoes.

Scorers and others (and any person with a private group or Club group of players), must wear acceptable golf attire as set forth above. Abbreviated clothing is not allowed at anytime, by anyone.

TENNIS DRESS CODE:

Proper tennis attire is required. Tennis shoes, collared shirts, warm-up suits and socks are required.   Not permitted: sleeveless shirts for men, running or street shoes, running shorts and short shorts, long pants, bathing suits, tennis T-shirts.

POOL DRESS CODE:

Swim trunks and bathing suits are allowed in the pool & spa areas only. Pool attendees must wear appropriate attire before entering or exiting the pool area, e.g., cover-up or shorts, shoes, etc.  Those members or guests wishing to use the pool facilities are required to change into appropriate pool attire in the pool locker rooms.  No thongs/beach sandals outside the pool area.  No thong swim suits.

FITNESS CENTER:

The Fitness Center is for members only, no guests.  Members must wear proper footwear, such as athletic sneakers, tennis shoes, etc., only. Socks are required.  Ladies may wear tights with shorts, shirts, T-shirts, warm-ups or other appropriate exercise attire at the discretion of the General Manager.  Gentleman may wear T-shirts, warm-up or other appropriate exercise attire at the discretion of the General Manager. Heels, bare feet, street shoes, beach sandals/thongs or non-metal spike golf shoes are not permitted in the fitness center.  No bathing or swim attire.  No tank tops or tight fitting shorts.  No abbreviated clothing.  Excessive perfume/cologne is discouraged.

DINING ROOM, LA ENTRADA, EL RINCON, SANTA YNEZ AND BOARD ROOM:

Gentlemen are required to wear jackets or suits after 5:00 p.m. Ladies are required to wear dresses, skirts, or pantsuits after 5:00 p.m.; except Sundays.  No shorts or warm-up attire allowed at anytime, (unless otherwise specified in the Divot).

PACIFIC GRILL:

Acceptable golf attire and casual dresses are allowed.  Jackets not required.

RIVIERA LOUNGE:

Acceptable golf and tennis attire is permitted before 5:00 p.m.

LOCKER ROOMS & TERRACE:

Acceptable golf and tennis attire is permitted.

CHILDREN’S DRESS CODE:

Boys and girls over the age of ten (10) must follow the adult dress code set forth herein.  For children under the age of ten (10), parents will be responsible for their children’s proper attire, conduct, behavior, and decorum.

NOT ALLOWED:

Blue denim or designer jeans (of any color or fabric), including acid or stone washed, are not allowed anywhere at anytime.

The above dress code applies to the golf course and all adjacent practice facilities.

 

Please remember to acquaint your children and guests with the above revised dress code.

Cell Phone Policy:  The use of cellular phones at the Club is prohibited in all areas except the parking lot area.  This prohibition includes the area in front of the Formal dining area.
